Sustainable Future Group offers BASIX ratings as a part of our services. To achieve this rating, we ensure all projects meet set sustainable targets. A range of factors are taken into consideration when reaching this certification ensuring that the buildings score is in conjunction with requirements.
The Building Sustainability Index (BASIX) is a certificate and requirement from the NSW Government in achieving a reduction of greenhouse gases and water to ensure new buildings meet sustainable targets. This aims to reduce emissions by 40% compared to existing buildings. It is a tool accessed online where the design details of the project are entered and a score is produced against the set targets. There are many factors that affect the overall score to a buildings BASIX score including the location, size and building materials.
